After the workshops in Konotop we were invited to exhibit in Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital. This, as part of the Austrian/Ukranian year of friendship. We brought the paintings from Konotop to Kyiv and the exhibition was held in the international art and language school Master Class, the embassy secretary Mr. Hildebrand made the opening speech, and the exhibition was open to the public for four weeks, many people from the wonderful city went to view the paintings. For us, it was very moving to see that the students of Konotop travelled together the 300 kilometres to the capital just to see the exhibition, for most of them it was the first time in the country’s capital. It was a very emotional event and will remain one of the highlights of the project.
