Mein Name ist Maureen Purcell und ich bin seit 1966 verheiratet mit Pierce, einem Marathonl\u00e4ufer, Musiker und pensionierten Deutsch-\/Englischlehrer der High School, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Irland. Wir haben 4 erwachsene Kinder, alle verheiratet, 2 Jungen in Irland und 2 M\u00e4dchen in Gro\u00dfbritannien und Neuseeland, und wir haben bisher 9 fabelhafte Enkelkinder, alle sehr k\u00fcnstlerisch, musikalisch und sportlich wie ihre Eltern!<\/p>

 Ich bin eines der Gr\u00fcndungsmitglieder und Organisator der South Tipperary Art Group (STAG), die 2021 ihr 53-j\u00e4hriges Bestehen feierte. Wir haben \u00fcber 40 erwachsene malende Mitglieder und ca. 60 Junior-Mitglieder im Alter von 9 bis 17 Jahren. Wir arbeiten im Art Room, Ss. Peter and Paul\u2019s Primary School in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Irland.<\/p>

Ich besuchte das Waterford College of Art and Design \u00fcber das \u00f6rtliche Central Technical Institute in Clonmel und erhielt in allen meinen Kunstpr\u00fcfungen ein First Class Honours. Ich habe 13 Jahre lang Kunst\/Handwerk\/Design sowohl an der Loreto Secondary School f\u00fcr M\u00e4dchen als auch an der Boy\u2019s High School in Clonmel unterrichtet und gleichzeitig die Junior Art Members von STAG unterrichtet. Diese Nachhilfe betreibe ich bis heute mit 4 anderen Nachhilfelehrern.<\/p>

Ab 2012 war ich fast 5 Jahre lang ehrenamtlicher Manager des South Tipperary Arts Centre in Clonmel mit Unterst\u00fctzung eines anderen STAG-Mitglieds, Dolores Fennessy, und eines gro\u00dfartigen IT-Spezialisten, Robbie Cantwell. Gemeinsam haben wir drei, mit Unterst\u00fctzung der Bezirkshauptmannschaft des Bezirks Tipperary, das Art Centre von einem hoch verschuldeten Betrieb, der von der Schlie\u00dfung bedroht war, in ein lebendiges Kunstzentrum mit ausreichenden finanziellen Mitteln verwandelt, um einen bezahlten k\u00fcnstlerischen Leiter einzustellen. Wir bei STAG Clonmel, freuen uns, dass das Arts Centre nun ein florierendes Zentrum ist, das f\u00fcr die breite \u00d6ffentlichkeit zug\u00e4nglich ist.<\/p>

Mit vielen anderen erwachsenen Kunstmitgliedern male ich auch Wandbilder, Poster, Hintergr\u00fcnde und mache viele andere Kunst-\/Handwerks-\/Designarbeiten, haupts\u00e4chlich f\u00fcr wohlt\u00e4tige Zwecke. Als K\u00fcnstler male ich seit weit \u00fcber 50 Jahren mit Acryl, Pastell, Feder\/Tinte und Bleistiften und meine Kunstwerke haben ihren Weg in viele Teile der Welt gefunden!<\/p>

An einem wolkenlosen Sommertag im Jahr 2018 sah ich diesen blau-goldenen Hei\u00dfluftballon, der tr\u00e4ge \u00fcber meinem Haus in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Irland, so frei wie ein Vogel schwebte. Der Anblick erinnerte mich an die Freiheit, die wir jetzt in Irland in allen Aspekten unseres Lebens haben, im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen L\u00e4ndern, aufgrund der selbstlosen Taten unserer Vorfahren. Die Freiheit wurde f\u00fcr viele unserer Landsleute in der Tat zu einem sehr hohen Preis erlangt. Ich denke, es ist dringend notwendig, dass wir diese hart erk\u00e4mpfte Freiheit f\u00fcr unser Land w\u00e4hrend des Unabh\u00e4ngigkeitskrieges und den darauffolgenden Konflikt wertsch\u00e4tzen, so spaltend dieser auch war!
