Alle, die in den 1970er Jahren Teil der Bildhauerklassen von Josef Pillhofer waren, etwa Andrea Tomitsch, haben diese mit einer Orientierung Richtung Klassischer Moderne verlassen. Darauf vorbereitet, den Anspruch der \u00e4sthetischen Nachhaltigkeit zu erf\u00fcllen, betrat man eine Welt, in der die gesamte Atmosph\u00e4re eher flie\u00dfend und widerspr\u00fcchlich erschien. Die Themen der politischen und sozialen Fragestellungen zerrten zu jener Zeit an der Kunst. Der Ausdruck dieser Zeit ist demnach experimentell und handlungsorientiert.<\/p>\n

Das war der Grund, weshalb Andrea Tomitsch der kubistischen Bildhauerei den R\u00fccken kehrte und sich der experimentellen abstrakten Malerei zuwandte. Sie betrachtete dies als M\u00f6glichkeit, sich von den dominanten Formen der tektonischen Bildhauerei zu befreien, in der die Pers\u00f6nlichkeit allein auf die Wahl und die Entwicklung der Raumkonzeption, die Konkretisierung und den Erhalt der Arbeitsprozesse beschr\u00e4nkt war.<\/p>\n

Zuletzt ist Andrea R. Tomitsch erneut zur lebendigen Wirklichkeit zur\u00fcckgekehrt. Es gibt jedoch auch ein drittes Element in ihren neuesten Werken, besonders jene, die psychologisch aufgeladene Situationen darstellen und in den meisten F\u00e4llen eine Dreierkonstellation zeigen. Die Figuren werden auf diese Weise stark reduziert, um die exemplarische Darstellung ihrer interpersonellen Beziehungen hervorzuheben.<\/p>\n
